Photos from Sunset Disfunction
Perry Mason and I teamed up to DJ at Ag Lago’s Sunset Disfunction house party. Brave Booties packed a small poorly ventilated room and danced to house and moombahton. We started a little bit after 1 am and didn’t stop until after 4. Thanks to everybody that helped organize the party. Thanks Perry. And a special thank you to everyone that danced.

Mad Decent Block Party LA 2011
Dillon Francis, Munchi, and Nadastrom (Dave Nada and Matt Nordstrom) all threw down great moombahton heavy sets at the Mad Decent Block Party in Downtown LA. The crowd was over capacity. The beer garden was hardly full. The porta potties were disgusting. It was a blast.
Thanks to all the people that threw the festival.
August DTLA Art Walk
I don’t really like Art Walk. It’s crowded, most of the art sucks, that baby was killed last month by a licenseless driver who wasn’t charged, there are cops everywhere, and right after the cops leave (to their homes outside of downtown), the bars close, and all sorts of men and women get in fights in the streets. Anyway, I had a good time sticking around Six Hundred (600 Spring St.) listening to DJ Higher.
Big Freedia at Bordello in Downtown LA
First there was a bounce dance class.
Then the main event. Big Freedia with Rusty Lazer.

This event felt fun and safe. Everyone was respectful and had a good time. I can’t wait to see Big Freedia again. If you ever get the chance, do it!
FUTURE DISCO BIKINI BEACH PARTY FROM OUTER SPACE!
When I saw on facebook that Ag Lag was having a party on my birthday I got stoked because I wanted to DJ my own birthday. I asked, and even though none of them had heard me play before, they said yes. I don’t own any equipment or anything, so I asked Alaska if he could bring his set-up and I could ask Ag Lago if he could DJ too. Of course Ag Lago was down. I knew everything would come together last second and kick ass and it did. Instead of Alaska’s set up, Jon brought his bigger Native Instruments S4 controller and a crazy iPad controlled light set up (and he played a kick ass set, yeah lots of shit kicked ass that night). The only other time I had Djed in front of people was spontaneously at FISHMOUND, but this Ag Lago party felt like my real first time.
Thanks Jon, Alaska, Daniel, and Newark for your musical support.
